Minimum Requirements
To qualify for this position, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Education: A Senior Certificate (Grade 12) or equivalent qualification (NQF Level 4 or higher).
- Language Proficiency: Fluency in at least two official languages, including English.
- Computer Skills: Competence in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint (completion of relevant courses is an added advantage).
- Background: A clean criminal record with no pending criminal or departmental cases.
- Citizenship: South African citizenship is mandatory.
- Work Environment: Willingness to work under pressure and extended hours as required.
Key Responsibilities
As an Administrative Support Clerk, you will be instrumental in ensuring smooth operations within the Divisional Commissioner’s office. Your core functions will include:
- Document Management:
- Typing reports, letters, and memorandums.
- Monitoring and managing the flow of documents to and from the Divisional Commissioner’s office.
- Maintaining accurate records of collected and distributed documents.
- Correspondence:
- Capturing and scrutinizing all incoming and outgoing correspondence.
- Support Functions:
- Providing secretarial and administrative assistance to the Divisional Commissioner.
- Managing the diary, scheduling meetings, and hosting visitors.
- Coordinating travel and subsistence arrangements.
- Systems and Returns:
- Ensuring proper administration of the bring-forward system.
- Completing and submitting monthly vehicle returns.
