Minimum Requirements
Applicants must meet the following criteria to be considered for the SAPU Learnership Programme:
- Be a dependant (son, daughter, niece, nephew, etc.) of an active SAPU member
- Be between the ages of 18 and 35
- Hold a matric certificate or equivalent qualification
- Have no criminal record
- Be supported by a Dibanani/MA-SAPU policy of the main SAPU member
- Provide a certified copy of the ID of both the main member and the applicant
Provinces and Available Learnership Opportunities
SAPU is offering 150 learnership placements distributed as follows:
- Eastern Cape – 40 opportunities
- Mpumalanga – 25 opportunities
- Gauteng – 25 opportunities
- Free State – 40 opportunities
- Northern Cape – 20 opportunities
Role Responsibility
Successful applicants will be enrolled in structured learnership programmes that combine theoretical knowledge with practical workplace experience. Participants will:
- Undertake accredited qualifications such as New Venture Creation NQF Level 2 and Youth Development NQF Level 5
- Gain hands-on experience in administrative and development-related roles
- Learn valuable skills that enhance employability and career readiness
- Contribute positively to their communities through knowledge application
