What is Sasol Recruiting Mechanical Technician I?
The Mechanical Technician I position at Sasol is a technical role designed to provide specialized support to maintenance managers and engineers. Minimum Requirements
Applicants must meet the following criteria to qualify for the role:
- National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (mandatory)
- BTech/Advanced Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (advantageous)
- EMS Competency (advantageous)
- Minimum of 2+ years relevant working experience
- Strong understanding of maintenance, engineering processes, and safety practices
Role Responsibility
The Mechanical Technician I will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, including but not limited to:
- Ensuring work standards are achieved in terms of quality, deadlines, and output
- Supporting company values, goals, and compliance requirements
- Achieving delivery targets such as MOC’s, SAS documents, and discipline objectives
- Ensuring all modifications adhere to MOC procedures
- Supporting Sasol’s Asset Management philosophy and coordinating maintenance strategies
- Assisting in RBI studies to enhance equipment reliability
- Optimizing and controlling resources in a cost-conscious manner
- Gathering and analyzing information to support decision-making
- Upholding safety and risk management standards across all tasks
- Contributing technical input to multidisciplinary project teams
- Suggesting optimization opportunities to improve efficiency and reliability
- Fostering effective working relationships with colleagues, managers, and clients
