Learnership Overview
Duration: 12-month fixed term contract
Programme Type: NQF-aligned Learnership Programme (HR Administration)
Location: Sandton, Secunda, Sasolburg, Johannesburg
Target Group: People living with disabilities
Education Level: Matric/Grade 12 (HR Diploma/Degree is advantageous)
Experience Required: 0–1 year
Key Learning Areas and Theoretical Components
During the learnership, learners will receive both academic instruction and real-world HR experience. The theoretical learning covers:
- Business Operations & Entrepreneurship
- Customer Service
- Basic Business Accounting
- Communication Skills
- Maths Literacy
- Computer Literacy
On-the-Job Exposure Includes:
- Providing administrative support to HR departments
- Supporting recruitment, onboarding, and talent management processes
- Using HR systems for data collection, reporting, and analysis
- Ensuring HR compliance and documentation accuracy
- Understanding compensation, benefits, and employment processes
- Assisting with employee relations, staff movement, and onboarding
- Participating in HR projects and change management initiatives
- Promoting Sasol’s values and contributing to our inclusive culture
Ideal Candidate Profile
Minimum Requirements:
- Matric/Grade 12
- South African Citizen
- Living with a disability (with documentation)
- Commitment to complete a 12-month learnership
- Strong interest in HR and administrative functions
Preferred:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in HR or a related field
