Key Responsibilities
The Sasol Operator (NPE) plays a vital role in our Production Final Assembly Department by ensuring accurate assembly of explosive products according to customer requirements and safety protocols.
Here’s a closer look at what this role entails:
- Crimping & Blocking: Ensure precision crimping and blocking for explosive assemblies.
- Shock Tube Coiling: Expertly coil shock tubes according to specifications.
- Sealing & Tagging: Securely seal and tag explosive units for quality assurance.
- Explosives Packaging: Bundle and pack assembled units in compliance with industry standards.
- Machine Operation: Proficiency in handling crimping, coiling, sealing, and tagging machines, occasionally operating multiple machines simultaneously.
- Quality Control: Conduct quality checks on each assembled product to ensure specifications are met.
- Stock and Inventory: Manage and record stock levels of raw materials in the production area.
- Documentation: Manually update production graphs and report daily production and breakdowns.
- General Maintenance: Maintain clean and orderly work areas in alignment with safety standards.

Educational Requirements and Experience
Education:
- Minimum: Grade 12
- Advantage: Mathematics and Science
Experience:
- Minimum of 6 months in Explosives Manufacturing
