Role Responsibility

As a Cash Processor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accurate and efficient processing of cash in compliance with SBV’s policies and procedures. Your responsibilities will include:

Receive Cash

  • Receive deposits and update them on the applicable systems.
  • Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures to eliminate risks to the company and customers.

Prepare Cash on the Applicable System

  • Inspect containers/bags for damages or tampering and report anomalies to the Team Controller.
  • Acknowledge containers/bags on the system and process deposits in line with bank SLAs and SOPs.
  • Prepare workstations for efficient note counting.

Note Sorting

  • Sort prepped deposits/notes within cut-off times.
  • Send rejected notes to the Reject Teller for verification and balancing.
  • Record and display client details on a board for camera verification.
  • Balance deposits and report discrepancies to the Team Controller.
  • Complete production sheets and downtime registers for machine breakdowns.

Reconciliation of ACDP Deposits

  • Reconcile rejected notes to validate information.
  • Manually check for counterfeit, dye-stained, or mutilated notes.
  • Perform cash transfers to vaults and end-of-day balancing.

Desktop Deposit Processing

  • Inspect containers/bags for tampering and report issues.
  • Keep deposits separate per customer and process them on the same day.
  • Balance deposits on the system and handle shortages/surpluses according to SOPs.

Sachet and Process Coin

  • Process bulk coin deposits and teller coin transfers.
  • Verify money bins, check seals, and balance bin pages.
  • Clear machine jams and report differences to the Team Controller.

Bank System Integrated Deposit Processing

  • Validate transactions linked to system integrations.
  • Escalate system downtime or delayed batches to the Team Controller.

Payroll and Change

  • Process payroll/change transactions in line with SLAs.
  • Seal floats in drop-safe bags and ensure timely processing of payroll entries.

Prepack/Treasury

  • Assist with packing and unpacking bank and ATM cash.
  • Manage consumables and ensure proper recording of bag and seal numbers.

Manage Equipment

  • Use equipment according to SOPs and maintain company assets.
  • Clean machines before and after shifts.

Role Responsibility

As a Distribution Controller, you will play a critical role in monitoring the loading, transportation, and offloading of sachet coins in fixed denominations. Your responsibilities will include:

Loading of Specie

  • Collect all required documentation, including ID, SBV laser card, Cash Movement Receipt Book, specie run schedule, and stationery.
  • Verify that the vehicle is properly and timeously loaded and balanced according to run/vehicle requirements.
  • Monitor the integrity of specie bags (no tears and properly sealed) during loading.
  • Apply dual control processes as per SOP when counting and loading bags onto the vehicle.
  • Ensure the cargo area is locked and cash is secured during loading.

Servicing of Branches

  • Transport specie using a trolley and follow bank SOPs when entering branches.
  • Perform transactions accurately as per the values on the run schedule.
  • Examine the integrity of specie bags received and maintain dual control with bank officials.
  • Obtain authorization from base for any changes to orders or deposits.
  • Seek permission from base for unforeseen or unplanned events before transactions.

Offloading and Storage

  • Follow dual control processes when offloading the vehicle.
  • Lock the cargo area to ensure cash is secured during offloading.
  • Accurately record feedback on the completed run schedule.

Assist Vault Custodians

  • Assist with receiving and paying out specie and notes.
  • Support Treasury Custodians in daily tasks.

Processing Operations

  • Accurately count and verify the packing and unpacking of cash/bags from specie bins as per the vault schedule.
  • Feed sachet machines with coins and weigh sachet bags.
