Job Description
The Engineering Learnership is structured to develop artisans through a practical and theoretical training approach, across six essential engineering disciplines. Successful candidates will be trained and mentored to become competent artisans capable of independently identifying faults and maintaining mining equipment and systems efficiently. The role involves both classroom-based learning and hands-on experience in a high-paced industrial environment.

Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12 with Mathematics (not Mathematical Literacy) and Physical Science, each with a minimum E symbol (40%)
OR - N2 Certificate with four relevant trade-related subjects, including trade theory in the discipline applied for
Trade-Specific Subject Requirements:
- Boilermaker: Mathematics, Engineering Science, Plating and Structural Steel Drawing, Plater Trade Theory
- Fitter: Mathematics, Engineering Science, Engineering Drawing, Fitting & Machining Theory
- Auto Electrician: Mathematics, Engineering Science, Industrial Electronics, Motor Electrical Trade Theory / Electrical Trade Theory
- Electrician: Mathematics, Engineering Science, Industrial Electronics, Electrical Trade Theory
- Diesel Mechanic: Mathematics, Engineering Science, Engineering Drawing, Diesel Trade Theory
- Instrument Mechanician: Mathematics, Engineering Science, Industrial Electronics, Instrument Trade Theory
Additional Requirements:
- No subjects with a symbol lower than E will be accepted
- Must be able and prepared to undergo a psychometric assessment
- Willingness to work shifts, standby duties, and call-outs
- Physically fit and able to obtain a valid Certificate of Fitness
- Must be able to work independently under pressure
Advantageous Attributes:

- Valid K53 Driver’s License
Role Responsibility
During the learnership, candidates will engage in:
- Daily maintenance and troubleshooting tasks across assigned trades
