Qualifications & Experience Requirements
Candidates interested in the Guard positions must meet the following qualifications:
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a high-risk security environment.
- Grade C PSIRA Registration with the Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority.
- Completion of NQF Level 2 (Grade 10) education.
Additional Advantages:
- NQF 4 Certification (National Senior Certificate or equivalent).
- Specialized certifications in crowd control management, tactical firearm handling, advanced driving, and competency in the use of a handgun, shotgun, self-loading rifle, or carbine.
Essential Requirements
- Medical Fitness: Candidates must be declared medically fit to perform duties in the high-risk environment at Sibanye-Stillwater through a risk-based medical examination.
- Security Clearance: All applicants must undergo thorough security screening and clearance.
- Driver’s License: A valid driver’s license is essential.
- Firearm Competency: Valid firearm competency certificate issued by SAPS.
Primary Responsibilities
Security Guards at Sibanye-Stillwater are tasked with safeguarding the company’s operations through diligent patrols, access control, and rapid response to potential threats. Key responsibilities include:
