Minimum Requirements (as is):
- NQF Level 4 (Matric or Senior Certificate)
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a data management position in a mining or security company
- Minimum of 2 years working with MS Office
- Experience in vetting and screening-related work (preferable)
- Valid driver’s license (advantageous)
- Medically fit to work in the relevant business area
- Clear security screening and credit record
Skills and Attributes:
- Strong understanding of data credibility, accuracy, and structure
- Report preparation skills (weekly and monthly reports)
- Familiarity with MIE-Smart Screen and Excel spreadsheets
- Strong organizational and record-keeping abilities
- Knowledge of the organisation’s code of conduct and ethics
- Competency in handling sensitive data and responding to general enquiries
- Technical ability to maintain and clean clocking card machines
- Ability to interpret data integrity and solve problems effectively
- Attention to detail and ability to work under minimal supervision
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Booking and assisting individuals for security screening
- Explaining screening processes and assisting with forms
- Capturing biographic information on relevant data systems
- Managing biometric enrolment and clocking card processes
- Maintaining and cleaning equipment related to card management
- Preparing detailed reports and spreadsheets for screening outcomes
- Managing record retention and file shredding
- Liaising with key external stakeholders including MIE and MQA
- Ensuring document readiness during data audits
- Issuing and managing screening results
- Ensuring compliance with data separation and database structures
- Providing general system-related support and enquiries
- Overseeing ESS onboarding approvals
