Job Description
The Learnership 18.2 Learner Official Mining is a temporary training programme designed to introduce learners to the mining environment. Successful candidates will be developed and trained to acquire skills related to mining operations, occupational health and safety compliance, risk management, and mining technical standards.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Completing all development modules within the stipulated time
  • Understanding and applying programme objectives and deliverables
  • Attending safety meetings and complying with SHE standards
  • Reporting any inconsistencies and obstacles during the learning journey
  • Escalating learning-related concerns to supervisors or mentors
  • Participating in risk assessments and hazard identification during training
  • Preparing and submitting progress reports

The programme includes both theoretical instruction and on-the-job training. Learners will be required to adhere to company policies and demonstrate a commitment to safety, discipline, and learning excellence.

  • Conducting tasks according to prescribed operational and technical standards

  • Reporting safety hazards and participating in job risk assessments
  • Communicating challenges and ideas for improvements
