Key Responsibilities:
As a Miners Assistant, you will be responsible for providing quality support in underground working areas. Key responsibilities include:
- Providing temporary and elongated support units that are hydraulically stressed.
- Preparing the face prior to marking, including cleaning and washing the area.
- Assisting with marking activities, transporting explosives, and charging blast holes.
- Supporting construction and installation activities.
- Maintaining housekeeping standards in the work area.
- Ensuring compliance with safety, health, and environmental (SHE) standards.

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:
- Educational Requirements: Grade 10 or equivalent, with a National Certificate Level 2 in GET Education, Training, and Development.
- Additional Requirements: NQF 1 General Education Certificate (GEC) or ABET 4 qualification, clear security and credit record, and medically fit for work.
