Signature Cosmetics is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated IT Service Desk Administrator Intern to join our dynamic team in Edenvale, Gauteng. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable experience in IT support while working with a leading beauty brand. As an IT Service Desk Administrator Intern, you will play a crucial role in providing first-line technical support, troubleshooting issues, and assisting with various IT tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide first-line technical support to resolve service desk incidents.
  • Escalate or re-route queries as needed.
  • Learn and deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Learn basic support principles and escalation frameworks.
  • Gain knowledge in connectivity, software support, and basic hardware support.
  • Assist with administrative support services for various IT infrastructure.
  • Troubleshoot activities and resolve problems.
  • Support major incidents, changes, releases, and disaster recovery projects.
  • Maintain effective communication with stakeholders.
  • Provide administrative and technical support to the IT department.

Required Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

  • Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
  • Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s or associate degree program in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is an advantage.
  • IT certificates are an advantage.
  • Understanding of ITIL concepts or other IT service management frameworks is an advantage.
  • Basic knowledge of Active Directory or Cloud, Office 365, VPNs, and IT security practices is required.
  • Experience with ticketing systems and remote support tools is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with mobile device management (MDM) solutions is an advantage.
