As a graduate trainee, you’ll gain in-depth exposure to industry-specific banking practices, develop your analytical acumen, and understand what it means to be a partner in the success of small, medium, and large enterprises.


Tasks

Graduates accepted into this programme will perform the following key duties:

  • Relationship Management Support:
    • Assist the Relationship Manager in handling day-to-day administrative tasks
    • Manage portfolio-related activities, including operational compliance
    • Aid in credit execution and portfolio reporting
  • Client Engagement and Fulfillment:
    • Serve as a central point of contact for clients
    • Provide high-end, differentiated services tailored to business needs
    • Ensure all compliance requirements within the portfolio are fully met
  • Strategic Growth Initiatives:
    • Contribute to the retention and growth of high-value Premium & Growth Segment clients
    • Leverage analytical insights to identify opportunities and present premium solutions
    • Collaborate across teams using an ecosystem mindset to meet client targets

Qualifications

To be eligible for the programme, candidates must possess or be completing one of the following FAIS-accredited undergraduate or honours qualifications by 31 December 2025:

  • BCom in Accounting
  • BCom in Finance
  • BCom in Economics
  • BCom in Agricultural Economics
  • BCom in Economic Sciences (with Agricultural Economics and Risk Management)
  • BSc in Agriculture (Agricultural Economic Analysis)

Experience

  • No more than 12 months of formal work experience post-graduation
  • Must be a South African Citizen
