Studio-88, a leading name in the South African fashion clothing and footwear retail sector, is currently recruiting for a Temporary Sales Assistant in the Western Cape region. As a Sales Assistant, you will serve as a direct representative of Studio-88’s dynamic brand. Your core responsibility will be to support the store in achieving sales goals, maintaining top-notch customer experiences, and keeping the store environment clean, organized, and visually appealing. You will also contribute to daily operations such as stock control, point-of-sale transactions, and merchandising.
Tasks
- Assist customers by providing knowledgeable and friendly service
- Guide customers in selecting apparel, footwear, and fashion accessories
- Process sales transactions using POS systems
- Replenish merchandise and restock shelves
- Maintain store cleanliness and professional appearance
- Fold and organize clothing items to display standards
- Participate in promotional events and in-store campaigns
- Suggest alternative or complementary products to increase sales
- Monitor stock levels and assist in stock counts and spot checks
- Support visual merchandising and store layout adjustments
- Resolve customer queries and complaints professionally
Qualifications
- Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate or equivalent
Experience
- 1–2 years of experience in a customer-facing retail sales role
- Previous employment in clothing or footwear retail stores is an added advantage
- Experience in hitting or exceeding sales targets
- Familiarity with retail operations such as inventory management and merchandising
- Hands-on experience in using cash registers and point-of-sale systems
- Proven history of supporting team performance and store presentation
