AgriSETA is inviting suitably qualified graduates to apply for its Supply Chain Management Internship Programme 2025. This 24-month opportunity provides exposure to procurement, bid administration, logistics, travel arrangements, and compliance within a professional environment. With two internship positions available, this is an excellent opportunity for graduates eager to build a career in supply chain management while gaining hands-on workplace experience.

What is AgriSETA Internships?
The Agricultural Sector Education and Training Authority (AgriSETA) offers structured internship programmes designed to help unemployed graduates gain valuable workplace skills. Internships provide practical exposure, mentorship, and training to bridge the gap between academic qualifications and workplace readiness. Successful candidates receive a stipend and the opportunity to contribute to the organisation’s operations while developing competencies needed for future employment.

Minimum Requirements:
Applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Grade 12 / Matric
  • NQF Level 6 qualification in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field
  • No prior work experience required
  • Basic computer literacy (MS Word & Excel)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work well in a team

Role Responsibility:
Interns will work under the guidance of the Assistant Manager: Supply Chain Management and will be responsible for:

  • Procurement
    • Source quotations from tax-compliant suppliers on the CSD
    • Compile RFQ comparative schedules and recommend approvals
    • Generate and distribute purchase orders
    • Process requisitions and purchase orders
  • Bid Administration
    • Ensure compliance with SCM policies and National Treasury guidelines
    • Track supplier deliveries for outstanding orders
    • Facilitate contracts and service level agreements (SLAs)
    • Provide support for bid committee meetings
  • Logistics Management
    • Manage and safeguard stationery and groceries
    • Conduct monthly stock-takes and maintain accurate records
    • Issue stationery and prepare audit-ready request forms
  • Travel Arrangements
    • Assist with employee travel logistics and bookings via travel agencies
    • Resolve travel-related queries, including after-hours assistance
  • Reporting & Ad Hoc Duties
    • Maintain RFQ registers and update procurement status reports
    • Ensure compliance with all reporting deadlines
    • Perform additional SCM-related duties as required
