Background & Job Description
TB HIV Care (THC), a leading South African NGO with a strong focus on HIV and TB prevention and care, is recruiting for a Learner Data Capturer in Mqanduli, Eastern Cape. The Learner Data Capturer will work closely with the Data Quality Officer and M&E (Monitoring and Evaluation) Coordinator to ensure timely and accurate data collection and reporting. This role is crucial in maintaining the integrity of the health facility’s data and contributing to national and provincial reporting standards.
Tasks
- Capture and consolidate facility and partner data across weekly, monthly, and quarterly cycles
- Ensure accurate and timely submission of health data into relevant databases
- Format and structure data according to the reporting requirements
- Maintain a register of responsible individuals for data submission across facilities
- Alert the M&E Coordinator when data is delayed or missing and document such instances
- Liaise with project staff and Department of Health personnel to ensure data accuracy and completeness
- Carry out administrative and filing duties in support of project documentation
Qualifications
- Grade 12 (Matric) or NQF Level 4 qualification
- Training or background in HIV/AIDS and STI programmes
- Must be between the ages of 18 and 24
- Demonstrated interest in public health and HIV care
- Ability and willingness to complete accredited training sessions and portfolio assessments
- Residing near the designated health facility is essential
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to communicate in both English and isiXhosa will be an added advantage
- Must have a clear criminal record
