Tasks
As part of the Tharisa Graduate Program, participants will:
- Be exposed to real-world mining operations and technical functions
- Work on discipline-specific projects and case studies
- Participate in training and mentorship sessions aligned with industry best practices
- Rotate across different business areas to broaden their understanding of the value chain
- Build foundational knowledge in business, health & safety, and mining compliance
- Engage in community-driven and environmental responsibility projects
Qualifications
To be considered, applicants must meet the following academic and eligibility criteria:
- Matric Certificate (Grade 12)
- N-Diploma or Degree in one of the following disciplines:
- Metallurgy / Chemical Engineering (GDP001-M/CE)
- Geology (GDP001-G)
- Mining Engineering (GDP001-ME)
- Rock Engineering (GDP001-RE)
- Survey (GDP001-S)
- Instrumentation (GDP001-I)
- Strong academic performance
- Basic computer literacy
- Must be medically fit
Experience
- No prior work experience is required
- Applicants must not have participated in any internship or graduate program related to their field
- Ideal for first-time job seekers or new graduates from local communities and labor-sending areas
- Preference will be given to female candidates in line with the company’s Employment Equity Policy
