Minimum Requirements
Candidates interested in applying for the Flume Operator role should meet the following requirements:
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills
- Ability to follow standard operating procedures and company safety policies
- Prior experience in a production or manufacturing environment will be an added advantage
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Willingness to work shifts and overtime when required
- Good communication skills to liaise with team members and supervisors
Role Responsibility
As a Flume Operator (General Worker) at Tiger Brands, your key responsibilities will include:
- Dosing and testing concentration levels of chemicals to ensure quality and safety standards are met
- Distributing products across production lines efficiently and accurately
- Completing and maintaining quality control (QC) documents
- Ensuring compliance with safety regulations, including:
- Wearing appropriate PPE
- Raising SROs (safety risk observations)
- Following company safety policies
- Upholding Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and maintaining high housekeeping standards through 5S principles
- Ensuring MECP compliance within production operations
- Communicating effectively with cookers, seamers, and other production staff to ensure smooth operations
