Minimum Requirements
To be eligible for the Tourism Monitors Programme 2025, applicants must:
- Be unemployed South African citizens with a valid SA ID
- Be aged between 18 and 35 years old
- Hold a Matric certificate or equivalent qualification
- Preferably have tertiary studies in tourism, hospitality, or environmental fields (advantageous but not compulsory)
- Speak and read English fluently
- Live within 40–100 km of the designated tourism site or national park
- Have reliable transport (accommodation may be considered if far from the site)
- Be available to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays
- Demonstrate a genuine passion for tourism and community development
- Not have participated in previous TMP intakes
