Job Description

The Toyota Graduate Training Programme is a structured, career-enabling experience tailored for recent graduates or final-year students. Over a 24-month period, successful applicants will be immersed in hands-on training, practical projects, classroom-based learning modules, and professional mentorship. This hybrid development approach is built around the 70:20:10 model:

  • 70% on-the-job experience
  • 20% structured classroom learning

Requirements

Toyota is seeking recent graduates or students in their final academic year who meet the following criteria:

  • Minimum Education Level: NQF Level 6 (360 credits)
  • Fields of Study:
    • Engineering: BSc/BTech/BEng in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Industrial, Electrical, or Electronics
    • Supply Chain: BCom/BTech
    • Computer Science / Coding: BSc
    • Marketing & Economics: BCom
    • Law: LLB (4-year law degree)
    • Humanities / Business: BCom, BSocSci, BA in Management, Communications or related fields
    • Accounting: BCom, Chartered Accountant (articles completed with Big 4), CIMA Level 3, Management Accounting
    • Information Technology: BSc, BTech, or National Diploma
    • Human Resources / Industrial Psychology: BCom or BTech

Applicant Profile:

  • Must be a South African citizen or possess legal work status
  • Passionate about contributing to the automotive and manufacturing industry
  • Willing to relocate if necessary

Role Responsibility

Graduates will be placed within the department most aligned to their academic background and career interest. Responsibilities may include:

  • Participating in process improvement projects
  • Supporting department-specific operations in Engineering, IT, Finance, Marketing, etc.
  • Assisting in data analysis, reporting, and system enhancements
