Job Description

The position of a Tollgate Cashier involves interacting with motorists and collecting toll fees at toll booths situated on major highways operated by TRAC. Successful candidates will perform a wide range of responsibilities, all aimed at ensuring smooth toll operations while delivering excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Handling cash transactions with motorists at toll booths
  • Issuing receipts and returning accurate change
  • Assisting road users with queries and toll-related information
  • Conducting end-of-shift cash balancing and reconciling discrepancies
  • Participating in cash room and toll plaza administrative tasks
  • Ensuring compliance with company procedures and safety protocols
  • Maintaining cleanliness and professionalism at the work station
  • Reporting any technical or security issues promptly
  • Adhering to a shift-based schedule, including weekends and public holidays

  • Available to work rotational shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays
  • Reliable transport to and from the tollgate (depending on location)
  • Demonstrated integrity and high levels of accuracy when handling cash

Role Responsibility

As a Tollgate Cashier, you will be expected to play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient operation of toll plazas. Your contributions directly affect the safety, convenience, and experience of thousands of motorists traveling on TRAC-managed highways.

Your daily responsibilities may include:

  • Greeting motorists with professionalism and courtesy
  • Verifying vehicle classifications and applicable toll fees
  • Accepting and recording cash payments accurately
  • Processing electronic toll transactions where applicable
  • Preparing end-of-shift reports and maintaining documentation
