Job Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting RNC construction teams during maintenance and construction works in Track Engineering. This role involves hands-on work in a construction environment, requiring physical fitness, technical knowledge, and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND COMPETENCE REQUIRED
- Minimum of 06 Months of relevant experience
- Minimum Grade 9
- Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
- Knowledge of construction working environment
- Knowledge of relevant tools, equipment, and material
- Physically & Medically fit
- Distinguish between correct tools, equipment, and materials and usage thereof
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Handling, loading, and offloading material
- Distinguish and identify different types of materials and tools
- Use material to execute tasks received from Supervisor
- Understand the sequence of tasks given by supervisor
- Performing trench excavations, as well as handling or laydown any kind of services to trenches and do backfilling
- Support & obey instructions received from Supervisor
- Cleaning of site by removing weeds, stacking materials, sweeping floors, and removing and disposing of excess/rubble materials
- Must be able to use any hand tool (non-mechanised) in the construction environment.
