Tasks
Graduate interns will engage in multiple learning and development activities, including but not limited to:
- Participating in a structured 24-month workplace training programme
- Completing all activities and tasks as outlined in the personal development plan
- Attending regular performance reviews and assessments
- Supporting finance department functions under supervision
- Providing assistance on financial data collection and processing
- Shadowing and learning from qualified finance professionals
- Executing additional tasks as required by the HR Business Partner and TNPA
Qualifications
To qualify for the Finance Internship at Transnet (req3026), applicants must meet the following academic criteria:
- National Diploma or Degree in Accounting or a related field
- Must be between 18 and 35 years old
- Must be a South African citizen

- Must have no prior work experience in the field of study
- Preference will be granted to candidates residing in KwaZulu-Natal province
Experience
This is an entry-level graduate programme, and prior work experience in accounting or finance is not required. Instead, the programme is designed to provide first-time work experience for recent graduates who are passionate about starting a career in finance within the maritime and logistics sector.
However, the ideal candidate should demonstrate the following competencies:
