The Truworths Stores Learnership is a structured training programme where learners are equipped with hands-on experience in store operations. Participants receive cross-training to perform duties both at the service desk and on the sales floor. The aim is to help learners develop customer service skills, stock management knowledge, and sales techniques to prepare them for a long-term career in retail.

Minimum Requirements

Role Responsibility

As a learner in the Truworths programme, you will be responsible for:

  • Assisting customers in locating products and offering professional service
  • Gaining knowledge of store operations, merchandise, and products
  • Organizing stock and arranging merchandise according to MBP (Merchandise Best Practice) principles
  • Using the POS (Point of Sale) system to process payments and purchases
  • Opening and managing customer accounts efficiently
  • Monitoring and preventing stock losses
  • Building strong, positive customer relationships
  • Ensuring customer safety and contributing to a secure shopping environment
