Participants will receive structured on-the-job training, complete logbooks, and be prepared for assessments to qualify as multi-skilled sales consultants.
Tasks
As a Stores Learner, you will be expected to:
- Work a minimum of 120 hours during the learnership period
- Learn theoretical and practical aspects of retail operations
- Prepare diligently for assessments to prove competency
- Assist customers in locating merchandise
- Merchandise the store according to MBP (Merchandise Best Practice) principles
- Process payments and purchases on the POS (Point of Sale) system
- Open new customer accounts and explain account benefits
- Help in maintaining or reducing stock losses
- Develop strong relationships with customers for repeat business
- Ensure customer safety and store security protocols are upheld
Qualifications
- Minimum Education Requirement: Grade 10
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills
- Able to follow instructions and communicate effectively
- Willingness to learn and take part in assessments
