The company is currently offering an exciting permanent opportunity for a Medium Motor Vehicle Driver (Articulated) to join its TSA KZN Distribution division based in Durban. What You’ll Be Doing
As a Medium Motor Vehicle Driver at Unitrans, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and timely delivery of goods. Your duties will include:
- Preparing the heavy-duty vehicle before each trip
- Handling documentation related to cargo and vehicle operation
- Performing vehicle inspections and safety checks
- Operating the vehicle efficiently in accordance with traffic and weather conditions
- Reporting mechanical issues and emergencies as per procedure
- Assisting in loading techniques and securing cargo
- Following all instructions from your supervisor
- Working shifts, including weekends and public holidays
- Demonstrating a strong commitment to road safety and vehicle maintenance

Requirements:
- Grade 10 Literacy level
- Code 10 driver’s license. Valid PDP
- 3 Years articulated driving experience
- Medically fit
- Clean criminal record
- Defensive driving
- Eaton Fuller gearbox and ZF gearbox driving
- Function and location of vehicle components
- Road Traffic Act (i.e. operating a vehicle)
- Driver actions regarding to weather/road/traffic conditions
- Reporting procedure of emergencies and defects
- Vehicle inspections and operating a fire extinguisher
- Maximizing vehicle cost-effectiveness and efficiency
- Vehicle loading techniques
