Interns will gain valuable hands-on experience in their field of study, participate in day-to-day departmental operations, and receive mentorship from UNISA professionals. The program aims to provide practical insight into working within a higher education institution while cultivating key workplace skills.
Ideal Candidate
To qualify for the 2025 Graduate Internship Programme at UNISA, applicants must meet the following eligibility criteria:
- Must be a South African citizen and unemployed
- Must not be older than 35 years of age
- Must have completed a UNISA qualification (NQF level 6 or above)
- Must not have any prior formal work experience related to the field of application
- Must be a graduate of UNISA
- Must not have previously participated in an internship programme at UNISA or another organization
- Applicants must submit separate applications per position, referencing the correct position number and their UNISA student number
Role Responsibility
Interns will be expected to:
- Contribute meaningfully to departmental tasks and projects
- Attend workshops and training sessions as scheduled
- Maintain a high standard of professionalism and confidentiality
- Collaborate with teams to support daily operations and initiatives
- Deliver quality outputs aligned with their academic qualifications
- Report to supervisors and participate in performance evaluations
