Applications are invited for a Financial Analyst position in the NSO Controlling Department – Finance at Volkswagen South Africa’s Sandton office. This role is critical for financial planning, analysis, and interpretation of financial inputs from various brands within the National Sales Organization (NSO). The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting financial controlling objectives while ensuring international and local reporting deadlines are met.

Job Description

The Financial Analyst will be responsible for financial feasibility studies, pricing support, cost evaluation, and business model maintenance. This role involves a combination of financial forecasting, monitoring market trends, and collaborating with multiple stakeholders to ensure financial accuracy and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct financial feasibility studies for potential locally manufactured vehicles and fully built-up (FBU) imports
Ensure new products are accurately priced and approved through international and local processes
Monitor and interpret equipment-adjusted vehicle price indices
Prepare product cost data for corporate budgets and medium-term planning
Maintain Business Model records and ensure timely system updates for Headquarters (HQ)
Evaluate cost accuracy (forecast vs actual) and implement corrective actions
Establish and implement vehicle and option pricing structures, assessing turnover and profitability
Manage the evaluation and implementation of special package pricing and ad hoc pricing requests (Rental & Government)
Conduct dealer, rental, and government incentives evaluation, reporting, and reconciliation
Monitor inflationary price movements and their impact on financial planning
Prepare tenders (RT57) and update quarterly RT57 pricing
Develop rental company proposals and pricing submissions for RT57, rental, and ad hoc incentives
Prepare presentations (Vorlagen) for quarterly pricing meetings and rental/state tender pricing meetings
Manage the incentive budget and oversee dealer performance and tactical programs
Handle provisions for vehicle-related incentives, overheads, and fixed costs

Ideal Candidate

Qualification Requirements:

A formal 3-year National Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Financial Management, Accounting, or an equivalent field from a recognized tertiary institution

Job Description

The Pilot Hall Engineer – Assembly Product will be responsible for developing and implementing production processes, procedures, and equipment. Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate within a cross-functional team to investigate and resolve product and process deviations in Assembly Product
Analyze audit findings and implement corrective actions with specified timelines to improve quality, reduce defects, and minimize reworks
Monitor, optimize, and set fitment-related fixtures and gauges in Assembly
Conduct necessary checks and develop new gauges to ensure production accuracy
Propose and implement product and process changes to enhance build/assembly processes
Develop, agree upon, and implement controlled reworks for out-of-spec parts to maintain stable production and quality output
Drive and escalate product and process issues to ensure corrective action implementation
Present detailed product and process issues with virtual or physical analysis to management meetings such as DKA, FVA, FAP, TOP-Q, SFM, Projects, and Cubing
Support and advise management on achieving quality and production targets
