Specific Role Responsibilities:
- CBMT contract with merSETA and a learnership contract with Lindsay Saker Kempton Park will be in effect, with all associated terms and conditions.
- MIBCO minimum wages will apply for the CBMT Apprentice.
Training program:
- Levels 1 – 4: 4-year contract
- 5 days of training every 5 weeks at ITTA.
- Distance learning program – CDX (enhances training through interactive demonstrations, tutorials, quizzes, and practical exercises accessible via the web at work and home during study time).
- Computer-based testing and examination.
- Practical competency testing.
- MIBCO.
- On-the-job experience at Lindsay Saker Bloemfontein Service department aligned with the level of competence achieved through the CBMT program.
- Gather evidence to complete your portfolio of evidence as required by ITTA.
- Work alongside an assigned technician to learn quality service maintenance and repairs according to the original manufacturer’s specifications.
- Inspect, maintain, and repair vehicles while training with a qualified technician.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Matric (N2 with Mathematics, Engineering Science, and English – 50% minimum required)
- Driver’s license
- Computer literacy
- Pass a mechanical insight test
- Pass standard background checks and a medical assessment
