x6 Call Centre Agent Midvaal Local Municipality 2025 The Midvaal Local Municipality is seeking six experienced and customer-focused individuals to join their team as Call Centre Agents on a fixed-term contract. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates passionate about providing quality customer service and playing an integral role in municipal operations. Successful candidates will work in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment, ensuring that residents’ queries and complaints are handled professionally and efficiently.

What is the Call Centre Agent Role at Midvaal?

This role involves receiving and dispatching calls, registering complaints, and delivering timely feedback to customers. Call Centre Agents are the first point of contact between the municipality and the public, ensuring that service standards are met and exceeded. Working shifts will be required, with both day and afternoon schedules to ensure service availability.

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 (Matric) qualification
  • Call Centre Support/Contact Centre and/or Business Process Support Certificate
  • Fully bilingual in Afrikaans and English, with knowledge of IsiZulu or Sesotho being an added advantage
  • Computer literacy and proficiency in relevant software
  • Excellent communication skills, telephone etiquette, and customer service abilities
  • Strong attention to detail, office management, and administration skills
  • Knowledge of the Midvaal Local Municipality and surrounding area is highly recommended
  • Minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience in a call centre, customer service, or similar high-pressure environment dealing with complaints and inquiries is advantageous
  • Ability to work shifts: Day Shift (06:00 – 14:00) and Afternoon Shift (14:00 – 22:00)
  • Preference given to qualifying candidates residing within the Midvaal Local Municipality jurisdiction
  • Ability to travel to and from the Midvaal Local Municipality offices
