Key Duties and Responsibilities
As a Packaging Process Operator, your main job is to operate and maintain packaging machinery to make sure production runs smoothly without delays.
- Machine Operation: Perform safe machine start-ups, running monitoring, and proper shut-downs.
- Pack Changes: Carry out quick brand pack changes on the production line.
- Autonomous Maintenance: Perform basic maintenance, line setup, and continuous operational checks.

Continuous Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement activities to improve plant efficiency.

Team Coaching: Support, train, and coach operational teams on machine safety and performance.

Minimum Requirements
To qualify for this position, SAB requires candidates to meet the following entry criteria:

Matric / Grade 12 Certificate
- At least 3 years’ experience working in a packaging process environment
- Summatively assessed on at least two machines in a manufacturing or packaging plant
- Proven SAB track record (prior performance history)
