Job Overview
SASSA is recruiting Contract Workers: Grants Administration – Grants Review (Level 03) for the Free State Region.
These roles focus on supporting social grant processes, ensuring compliance, and assisting beneficiaries across various districts.
Minimum Requirements
- NQF Level 4 qualification (Grade 12/Senior Certificate) recognised by SAQA
- Basic computer literacy

Duties
- Conduct beneficiary screening and complete manual applications
- Perform file reviews and validations
- Assist beneficiaries with service navigation
- Verify documents and information submitted for review
- Identify cases for home visits (e.g. elderly or disabled clients)
- Participate in outreach and mobile review operations
- Capture and maintain accurate grant data
- Identify cases for suspension, lapsing, or recovery of overpayments
- Support document tracking, filing, and reporting
- Scan and index documents for audit readiness
- Ensure compliance with data protection and confidentiality
