Job Purpose:

To support the implementation of Nedbank’s business investment philosophy through comprehensive data analysis, research, and support functions, aligning with the Nedbank Group strategy.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Needs Assessment and Solutions Provision: Engage with both internal and external clients to assess needs and provide tailored solutions.
  • Feedback and Presentations: Prepare and deliver business presentations to stakeholders, ensuring clear communication of findings and recommendations.
  • Collaborative Relationships: Foster and utilize collaborative relationships to achieve work goals effectively.
  • Data Compilation and Monitoring: Conduct research to compile, maintain, and monitor economic, industry, and other relevant data series.
  • Investment Recommendations: Utilize quantitative and qualitative analysis to make informed investment recommendations.
  • Information Interpretation: Identify and interpret relevant information logically to determine cause and effect relationships.
  • Cultural Contribution: Participate in initiatives aimed at building a culture conducive to achieving transformation goals within Nedbank.
  • Corporate Social Responsibility: Support corporate social responsibility initiatives aligned with key business strategies.
  • Process Enhancement: Identify and recommend opportunities for enhancing processes, systems, and policies, and support the implementation of new systems and policies.
  • Performance Evaluation: Regularly review the financial performance of funds/investments.
  • Software Proficiency: Develop proficiency in relevant software to deliver required outputs effectively.
  • Effective Communication: Clearly express ideas and facts in written documentation to ensure understanding by recipients.
  • Product and Industry Knowledge: Develop a thorough understanding of products, industry regulations, and the regulatory framework.
  • Legislative Awareness: Stay updated on legislative and industry changes by reading newsletters, visiting relevant websites, and attending informational sessions.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Matric / Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate
  • Advanced Diplomas / National 1st Degrees
  • Advantage: Studying towards Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).

Experience:

0-3 years of experience in the financial or related industry.
