Job Introduction
SPAR Central Office – Tech Services is actively seeking a talented Business Analyst – Value-Added Services (VAS) to join its team in Pinetown. Role Responsibility
Effective Management of Staff
- Build and maintain strong relationships with team members and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with product teams and business stakeholders to properly define challenges, solutions, and risks.
- Facilitate workshops to understand stakeholder needs and elicit requirements for solutions.
- Provide user training and onboarding to ensure stakeholders fully leverage systems and tools.
- Promote a collaborative and team-oriented environment for delivering top-tier results.
Effective Management of Operations
- Lead Design Thinking sessions for problem definition, ideation, and prototype development.
- Define and document user stories, translating them into clear business requirements.
- Develop process flow diagrams to optimize workflows and align with Business Architecture methodologies.
- Perform process re-engineering and GAP analysis to identify areas for improvement.
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement across operational processes.
- Ensure solutions meet acceptance criteria and business requirements.
Effective Management of Business Development Function
- Identify and validate internal and external data sets generated by business and operational processes.
- Contribute actively to the SPAR data dictionary and reference materials through case studies and documentation.
- Leverage PowerBI and SAP Analytics Cloud to generate actionable business insights.
- Optimize the purchase and management of Prepaid Airtime Products, Single Use Vouchers, Prepaid Electricity, Bill Payments, Money Transfers, and Ticketing.
- Utilize analytics knowledge to identify opportunities for growth and operational efficiency.
- Coordinate with multi-business stakeholders to deliver innovative retail solutions.

- Two years’ experience in product management within an agile environment.
- Hands-on experience with Prepaid Airtime Products, Bill Payments, Money Transfer, and similar services.
- Proficiency in process mapping, process re-engineering, and GAP analysis.
- Strong capabilities in PowerBI and SAP Analytics Cloud for business intelligence and analytics.
