Job Introduction

SPAR Central Office – Tech Services is actively seeking a talented Business Analyst – Value-Added Services (VAS) to join its team in Pinetown. The purpose of this role is to define business requirements aligned with agreed standards, create process flow diagrams, and contribute to the development, testing, and deployment of innovative solutions. Role Responsibility

Effective Management of Staff

• Build and maintain strong relationships with team members and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with product teams and business stakeholders to properly define challenges, solutions, and risks.
• Facilitate workshops to understand stakeholder needs and elicit requirements for solutions.
• Provide user training and onboarding to ensure stakeholders fully leverage systems and tools.
• Promote a collaborative and team-oriented environment for delivering top-tier results.

Effective Management of Operations

• Lead Design Thinking sessions for problem definition, ideation, and prototype development.
• Define and document user stories, translating them into clear business requirements.
• Develop process flow diagrams to optimize workflows and align with Business Architecture methodologies.
• Perform process re-engineering and GAP analysis to identify areas for improvement.
• Drive innovation and continuous improvement across operational processes.
• Ensure solutions meet acceptance criteria and business requirements.

Effective Management of Business Development Function

• Identify and validate internal and external data sets generated by business and operational processes.
• Contribute actively to the SPAR data dictionary and reference materials through case studies and documentation.
• Leverage PowerBI and SAP Analytics Cloud to generate actionable business insights.
• Optimize the purchase and management of Prepaid Airtime Products, Single Use Vouchers, Prepaid Electricity, Bill Payments, Money Transfers, and Ticketing.
• Utilize analytics knowledge to identify opportunities for growth and operational efficiency.
• Coordinate with multi-business stakeholders to deliver innovative retail solutions.

Minimum Requirements

Candidates must meet the following qualifications and experience requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technology discipline.
• At least three years’ experience in business analysis and optimization within a retail setting.
• Two years’ experience in product management within an agile environment.
• Hands-on experience with Prepaid Airtime Products, Bill Payments, Money Transfer, and similar services.
• Proficiency in process mapping, process re-engineering, and GAP analysis.
• Strong capabilities in PowerBI and SAP Analytics Cloud for business intelligence and analytics.
