Seda: Quality & Standards and Technology Transfer Internships 2024 The Small Enterprise Development Agency (Seda) is offering Quality & Standards and Technology Transfer Internships for 2024. These internships provide a unique opportunity for graduates to gain practical experience in quality assurance, standards implementation, and technology transfer processes. Interns will work closely with industry experts, learning to develop and apply best practices that enhance the competitiveness of small enterprises. This program aims to equip interns with the necessary skills and knowledge to contribute effectively to the growth and sustainability of small businesses, fostering innovation and excellence within the sector. SEDA an agency of the Department of Small Business Development (DSBD) which provides non-financial support to small enterprises and cooperatives.

Job Purpose

The purpose of the internship programme is to provide appropriate and relevant work experience which is in line with the intern’s qualification.

Key Performance Areas

  • Assess small enterprises for the benefit of TTF
  • Develop business cases for the adjudication panel
  • Administer the technology transfer fund nationally
  • Establish and maintain an accurate database
  • Verification of supplied technology received at the client’s premises
  • Contribute to the review of TTF policy and processes
  • Conduct impact analysis on the technology intervention on beneficiaries
  • Conduct TTF awareness workshops
Minimum qualifications

❖ Matric and a three-year tertiary qualification (N6) in Commerce/ Project Management/ Technology/ Engineering
❖ A Bachelor’s degree (NQF 7) in Commerce/ Project Management/ Technology/ Engineering would be added as an advantage

Work Experience: Not Applicable – Work experience exposure programme.
