Programme Overview
The YES – Youth Opportunity Programme is designed to help young South Africans enter the job market and gain valuable first-time work experience in a dynamic retail environment. This programme provides participants with the opportunity to develop workplace skills, build confidence, and improve their future employability.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
Must be between 18 and 28 years old
Matric (Grade 12) is preferable
Must be available to work a fixed-term 12-month contract
Must not have been permanently employed with a single employer for more than 12 months
Must not be studying full-time during the programme period (April 2026 – March 2027)
Must not have previously participated in or been registered on the YES Programme
Accommodation and transport costs will be the responsibility of the applicant (if applicable)
Preference will be given to candidates from designated groups in line with the Employment Equity Act
Important Notes
The programme aims to provide first-time work experience for unemployed youth.
Successful candidates will gain exposure to the retail industry and workplace training.
The contract duration is 12 months.
