Job Description
The Learner Fire Fighter Programme is designed to provide learners with practical workplace training and structured learning in firefighting and emergency response services.
Participants will gain valuable skills, knowledge, and experience while completing assessments and workplace readiness activities required by the programme.
Key Responsibilities
Successful candidates will be expected to:
- Participate fully in the Learnership Programme.
- Complete all assessments successfully.
- Attend structured training sessions.
- Participate in workplace readiness activities.
- Follow all safety regulations and procedures.
- Develop firefighting and emergency response skills.
- Demonstrate commitment to learning and professional development.
Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this opportunity, applicants must have:
- Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate.
- Pass in Technical Mathematics, Mathematics, or Mathematical Literacy.
- Pass in English or Business English.
- Pass in Technical Science or Physical Science.
- Code B Driver’s Licence or higher.
- Ability to pass stress and fear assessments.
- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
- Ability to pass fire exposure assessments.
- Ability to climb cat ladders.
- Ability to pass the Fire Fighter Fitness Assessment.
- Be between 18 and 29 years old.
