This bursary supports students currently studying in critical and scarce skills fields aligned to the organisation’s mandate.


Fields of Study & Available Opportunities

  • BTech / BSc Civil Engineering (1st or 2nd year) – x2
  • BSc Water Science & Sanitation (2nd year) – x1
  • BSc Honours Chemistry (2nd year) – x1
  • Diploma in Water Science & Technology (2nd year) – x1
  • Bachelor of Architecture (1st or 2nd year) – x1
  • BSc / BEng Electrical or Electronic Engineering (1st or 2nd year) – x4
  • Bachelor of Geomatics / Surveying (1st year) – x1
  • BSc Mechanical Engineering (1st or 2nd year) – x1
  • BCom Accounting (1st or 2nd year) – x1
  • LLB (2nd year) – x3
  • BSc Honours Microbiology (1st or 2nd year) – x1
  • Master of Public Health (2nd year) – x1

Minimum Requirements

  • South African citizen
  • Previously disadvantaged individual (ACI)
  • Passed Matric or equivalent
  • Currently studying full-time in one of the listed fields
  • Minimum academic average of 65% (especially in major subjects)
  • Not receiving any other bursary or funding
  • Under the age of 35 years
  • Registered at a recognised tertiary institution

Required Documents

Applicants must submit:

  • Certified copy of ID document
  • Certified copy of Matric certificate
  • Latest academic record
  • Proof of registration for the current academic year

Expectations as a Bursar

  • Complete your qualification within the required time frame
  • Adhere to the bursary contract and agreement conditions
